Abstract
Objective: The objective of the study is to demonstrate, by means of an Interactive Literature Review, the care strategies for elderly patients with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH).
Methodology: An Integrative Literature Review Study (RIL) was carried out, with data collection through online access in the PubMed, Cochrane Library and VHL databases. After evaluation and synthesis of the articles, the data were analyzed in the IraMuTeQ software, presenting the results through the similarity analysis with the identification of co-occurrences between the words and the connection indications.
Results: The research showed that the results of non-invasive and surgical therapies were identified as strategic actions.
Conclusion: It was concluded that care strategies for the elderly with benign prostatic hyperplasia are still scarce, limiting pharmacological and behavioral interventions.
Keywords: Elderly, care strategies, prostatic hyperplasia.
